Research Division of Surgical Oncology
The Research Division of Surgical Oncology is the leading research division of the Center.
The Division’s research and practical activities are mainly focused on the development and use of new techniques of combination and surgical treatment of patients with malignant neoplasms at different body sites.
Today the Division is pursuing research into the ways of improving the techniques of organ sparing surgeries.
Special attention is paid to the development of innovative treatments that use endoscopy-assisted techniques, normo- and hyperthermic regional isolated chemoperfusion and endoprosthesis replacement.
The Research Division of Surgical Oncology works closely with other research divisions and clinical departments of the Center.

The Division is home to 19 Doctors of Medical Sciences and 18 Candidates of Medical Sciences.

The Division is headed by Professor Nikolai F. Krotov, D.M.Sc, leading researcher.
The Division offers theoretical and practical training to surgeons, oncologists and researchers through residency and fellowship programs as well as advanced training courses to medical professionals.
