The patient's blood is needed for following molecular genetic research:
- hereditary mutations (BRCA1,2, etc.);
- polymorphism;
- confirmation, that the pathomorphological materials belongs to the patient.
How to send blood test - tubes?
- the necessary level of dark-red blood is 3-5 ml;
- blood-sampling may be done at any time of the day, regardless of the meal;
- blood is taken in test-tubes with EDTA (ethylene diamine tetraacetate), purple cover;
- to mix the blood with the anticoagulant with which the tube is covered from the inside, the closed tube must be turned upside down several times;
- at room temperature the blood can be transported for 2 weeks.
