European Society of Gynaecological Oncology (ESGO)
The European Society of Gynaecological Oncology unites physicians and researchers from across Europe, who are involved in the study, prevention, treatment and monitoring of gynaecological cancers.
The main aim of the European Society of Gynaecological Oncology is to create a European platform for professionals - physicians, clinical researchers and nurses – to combine effort and share experience and knowledge to boost the effectiveness of fight against gynaecological cancers in Europe.
ESGO’s activities:
- organizing educational workshops, seminars and thematic meetings;
- developing learning content for professionals (videos and online lectures);
- facilitating and organizing clinical trials involving patients suffering from gynaecological cancers from all over Europe;
- certifying professionals who have completed training in the field of treatment of gynaecological cancers;
- accrediting educational establishments;
- organizing conferences.
The European Society of Gynaecological Oncology was founded in 1983 in Italy. It has more than 1,000 members from 30 European countries.
The European Society of Gynaecological Oncology publishes the International Journal of Gynecological Cancer.
