History of the Department
The Department of General Medicine and Functional Diagnostics was established in 1966 as an ECG room and was a part of the medical therapy department at first. In 1981, the ECG room became a separate unit, and in 1989 it got its present-day name. Since 2005, the Department has been headed by Dr Larisa I. Melnik, who has the highest qualification category in two specialties – general medicine and functional diagnostics.
